BRANDON LOUIS, LA TALENT MANAGER AND CREATOR OF THE INDUSTRY DANCE INTENSIVE
CREATOR | PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Brandon grew up in the local dance community in the SF Bay Area starting with his High School Dance team which led him to discover the world-renowned Culture Shock Dance Troupe. With Culture Shock Oakland, under the direction of Kim Battiste, he further developed his skills as a dancer and within the creative team. He choreographed for the Future Shock youth programs, created a branch in Marin county and started teaching at various locations around the bay area.
He eventually decided to move to Los Angeles and was signed by a prestigious dance agency within the first few months. After getting a little taste of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, Brandon decided he needed more home-grown foundation and the bay area came calling him back. While back in the bay he joined the cutting-edge dance company, Funkanometry where many successful choreographers that you might see working today started their journey. He also trained under Greg Chapkis, founder of Chapkis Dance home of The Williams Fam, Kida the Great and many other well-known dancers and choreographers.
When it was time to return to LA, Brandon was quickly thrown in to the business side of the spectrum finding himself working in Casting and ultimately becoming an agent at the very company who signed him a few years prior.
Naturally inheriting the desire to become his own boss, he created Brandon Louis Management, LLC and continues to take his newly established company in the direction of his passion…Dance and Entertainment.
“The local dance communities have always been the givers to the commercial industry and I believe it is a necessity to give back. Although there are several dance conventions who travel across the country, there is a inevitable need for true embrace of the community which nourishes our next generation of talent.” - Brandon Louis.
